Abstract : This article examines the reality of the Anti-Chinese Riots of 1931 in Pyongyang, Colonial Korea, focusing on the China’s post-riots response. I specifically focused on the roles of the Chinese Consulate, responsible for the protection of the Overseas Chinese, the Chamber of Commerce in Pyongyang, and the Chinese Nationalist Party(Kuomintang) branch in Keijo. Firstly, I reviewed the progress and the extent of damage of the Pyongyang incident, focusing on the reports of the first and second Chinese investigative teams. Secondly, I described the process of compiling statistics on casualties and property damage by the Chinese side. The Chamber of Commerce played an important role. Additionally, one member was dispatched from KMT branch in Keijo to collaborate with that organization. Lastly, I examined the distribution of relief funds collected by various organizations. The distribution was carried out under the responsibility of three entities: the Consulate, the KMT, and the Chamber of Commerce. The relief funds provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China etc., were distributed to approximately 77% of the deceased and 53% of the injured in Pyongyang. On the other hand, the relief funds provided by President Zhang were only distributed to 74% of the deceased and were not distributed to the injured. Consequently, the question of how to handle the remaining relief funds emerged as another issue
